Exciting News Update Regarding NP Recruitment and Retention Initiative.

We are happy to report that SANP has had a second meeting with the Ministry regarding NP Recruitment and Retention. On 17 January 2014 Minister Weekes, Lynn Digney-Davies (Chief Nursing Officer) along with support staff met again with SANP members: Lia, Barb, & Leland. Maureen Klenk, President of CAAPN and SANP member joined the group. SANP is very happy to report this was a great opportunity for our SANP group to liaise with the Ministry and discuss real issues facing NPs. The goal of the meeting was to explore options for a provincial recruitment and retention strategy. There will be further discussions and we will keep you posted!
